East Coast Falconry is a small and intimate establishment dedicated to showing best practises in how to care for, handle and fly birds of prey, for the purposes of falconry.
This is not a falconry/bird of prey centre which is open to casual visitors. Often such centres provide courses or Experiences as an add-on to their usual activities.
Falconry may be defined as the use of trained raptors for hunting, but it is quite possible to keep and fly birds of prey without hunting with them. The important word is "fly", and everything that falconry is about is the flight, and all our careful management, handling and training leads to this ultimate purpose.
Jeff and Spencer have over 15 years' experience of with various birds of prey. Jeff has qualified with a Lantra award for Falconry being taught by Ben Long. Spencer has been training birds for years and successfully hand reared many Birds of Prey.
We are available for Hawk Walk Days, where you will have your own bird to fly. We also have school visits which include flying demonstrations and educational information. Corporate days can be arranged where we will come to you with a selections of our birds which will be fun and educational.
We pride ourselves on personal service, offering a 1 to 1 experience with you and your group.
